What is Go2trail?

Go2trail.com is an event booking platform that promotes licensed local guides with experience around the world.

Everyone behind the project – from employees to partners – are passionate lovers of nature and outdoor activities. Together they hope to promote these activities and encourage people to enjoy valuable experiences in the mountains, rivers, lakes, air… nature.

How can I book an event on Go2trail.com?

Go to Go2trail.com and look for the location, date and select and who you want to travel with.

The browser will display a list of results. You will browse the list, compare and choose the best event for you. Or simply select the activities and places already offered below.i

How can you guarantee that my guide is qualified and will provide a safe experience?

Only licensed hiking guides are registered on Go2trail.com. Most of them have the most respected international certificates for mountain guides, as well as local / state certificates.

However, it is your responsibility to check that the mountain guide you are booking has the necessary qualifications and expertise to guide you.

How can I pay for the trip?

You can pay for the trip with a credit card. We use Paypal, a well-known payment system, to guarantee that your payment will be secure.

What happens if the guide cancels the trip due to bad weather / inappropriate conditions?

If bad weather or inappropriate conditions force the guide to cancel the trip, he or she will:

  1. propose a similar activity elsewhere where conditions are better,
  2.  propose postponing the activity to a later date,
  3.  cancel the trip.
    If you decline option a), our cancellation policy will apply. However, keep in mind that a call to cancel a trip due to bad weather can only be made by a guide (not a client).

What happens if the guide does not show up or cancels for personal reasons?

If the guide cancels due to injury or something else, you will receive a 100% refund.

Can I find a travel guide for the trip that is not listed on the platform?

Yes. If you are looking for a specific event, but cannot find it on Go2trail.com, then you can create an event to your liking – quickly and easily. We will do our best to contact a local certified guide who can provide the tour you want.

Will I be able to talk to the guide about the trip / event, before the payment is made?

Yes, of course. After requesting a travel reservation, you will have the opportunity to ask the guide any questions you may have, before we charge you.
By the way, each of our guides has their own profile on the platform. There you can always contact them and evaluate their work.

Can I change the programs listed on the website?

Guides can sometimes customize their events to meet the wishes of their clients. When you request a booking of the event you are interested in, you will have the opportunity to discuss the changes when you get in touch with the guide.

Can I join a group?

Some guides offer group departures that you can join, others do not. This information is usually available in the description of the trip, but if it is not, you can always ask our guides.

Follow the simple steps to (1) register, (2) fill in the information on your profile page and (3) create your first event so we can start promoting your excursions!
If you have any questions at any time during the registration process, please contact the guide support team.

How much does it cost to promote my events on the platform?

Creating profiles and advertising events on the platform is free.
There are no fixed fees such as membership fees or annual fees, but whenever we do a good job and a new client makes a reservation for some of your events through our platform, we get a 15% commission of the price of your event, which means that you get 100% of your price and we take 15% added to your price. If we fail to sell your events through our platform, we will not charge you anything!

Important note: If you are in the EU and do not have an EU VAT number, then a VAT of 21% applies and the commission is 18.15%.

How does it work?

You will have your personal profile page with a list of events you offer. Each event has its own page with all the relevant information: description, itinerary, pictures, price per person, required level of physical fitness, etc.

Our team of experts will help you create a profile and then set up your first event on the platform, using the information you provide.

How can clients find me and my events?

Clients cannot find you if you only have your profile page on the platform. Having event pages linked to your profile page is what makes you visible and accessible to customers, with our marketing support.

Go2trail users can search for events that are filtered by destination (country, mountain range, region, city, mountain name, etc.) and / or by activities (hiking, caving, picking mushrooms and herbs, etc.).

What is a guide's control panel?

Guide’s Control Panel is an administrative tool that guides can use to manage all their events and reservations.

Based on your feedback, we strive to improve and add new features to your profile.
You can currently use your dashboard to:

– Check the status of each of your reservations.

– Talk to the client, accept or reject the reservation, edit prices, etc.

– Add new events to your profile.

– Edit travel prices for your events.

– Correspond directly with clients, without intermediaries.

What happens if I have to cancel a trip due to bad weather?

If bad weather or inappropriate conditions force you to cancel your trip, you will suggest:
a) suggest a similar activity elsewhere where conditions are better,
b) propose to postpone the activity until a later date,
c) cancel

If the customer rejects option a), our cancellation policy will apply. However, keep in mind that only you (not the client) can make a call to cancel a trip due to bad weather.

If you cancel due to injury or other reason, the client will receive a 100% refund during the trip.

Do I need to be available all the time?

No. Whenever you receive a request from a client, you can accept or reject it based on your availability and the date the client requests.
